Car Filming Day

For some of the initial shots in the storyboard we wanted tracking shots, this is when the camera follows a physically moving object or person. At first we considered using a bike or skateboard, but agreed that the best, and most stable option, would be a car. So my parents took me and Janadhi to a quiet, local lane and practiced the running motion over and over.
Fortunately, we had a convertible to there were less obstructions- no windows or car boots to disrupt the camera positioning. I simply placed the tripod on the back of the car, stood in the back seat, and clung on for dear life.
We had the music playing in the car to keep in sync with the music and then had Janadhi running in time with the beat. The first shot was a long take which involved the camera tilting down, back up and then Janadhi entering the frame. This was followed with a side- on, close up. Then a side- on long shot of Janadhi catching her breathe, this movement was in time to the 'we fall' lyrics as it shows her nearly giving up.
The shoot went well, I am hoping that the footage isn't too shaky considering there were potholes and bumps in the road. iMovie does have a 'stabilisation' tool, but I'm not sure how effective it is.
