Stills and Composition #3

Here we manipulated the lighting and low angle, to make it look as
though Janadhi was climbing a greater height. She was only really moving
a few feet up, but the overcast lighting worked in our favour and created
a silhouette, so the '1m' marking can't be seen on the frame.

Throughout filming we wanted to incorporate as many different shots as
possible. Here we chose to use a high angle close up. We placed the focus

on the hands as this created a different depth of field. Janadhi's face comes

into focus as she does the pull and moves her closer to the lens.

In order to make Janadhi's stare intense, we framed it in a simple

mid shot from the front. Making sure there were no distractions from her face.

Here is another close up exercise. We thought a push up would create an

interesting composition as we could alter the positioning of Janadhi's arms

to follow the 'rule of thirds', as you can see; her arms make up the two
vertical lines of the '9x9' grid.

This shot shows Janadhi running into focus from the left hand side of
screen, we chose to place her to one side as it creates a more dynamic

image. It also places the army logo at the focal point of the frame.

We also captured countless running shots throughout the day,

there are a mixture of close ups and long shots so that the music

video is varied and kept exciting.
