Tame Impala- Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
The three minute video is made up entirely of shapes and colours, little of which have any relevance to the lyrics of the video. However, the art does seem to be in sync with the music, as the images change in time with the tempo. This allows the audience to 'see the music. There is no footage of the band, so therefore there are no close ups of the main artist nor is there any suggested voyeurism. These are two of the six conventions which seem to be lacking in abstract music videos.
